The BDL60U universal input emergency ballast works in conjunction with an AC ballast to convert fluorescent fixtures into emergency lighting. The emergency ballast handles a wide range of input voltages and frequencies and consists of a high-temperature nickel-cadmium battery, charger and electronic circuitry in one compact red case. When AC power fails, the BDL60U immediately switches to emergency mode, operating one or two lamps at a reduced lumen output for minimum 90 minutes and when AC power is restored, it automatically returns to charging mode.
The BDL60U is UL listed UL924 ''Emergency Lighting and Power equipment'' and also UL Listed to be used in Class 1 Div 2 ex-proof application.
